Digital Citizenship initiatives work toward creating awareness amongst educators, children and youth, and parents on safe, smart and responsible use of online tools and platforms. The programs empower participants across schools and communities to be smart and confident digital citizens by preparing them to recognise online risks and take protective measures for the same. The primary focus is on instilling the concept of shared responsibility by following fair, respectful and ethical behaviour in online interactions.
How it Works:
Face-to-face Safety Workshops and Campaigns: Conduct workshops and campaigns for the students and teachers in schools and communities.
Local Safety Champions: Identify experts among the program participants and motivate them to scale the safety narratives in their communities.
Online Community: Create and expand the online community 'Digital Citizenship' where safety messages are posted regularly and students are encouraged to post their queries.
